How do you sign up for this, I can't see anywhere on the page to sign, up, is it my eyesight?

How applicable will this seminar be for users of GIMP (http://www.gimp.org)? Is it sacrilege to ask questions like this?

    May 23, 2013

    • Howard G.

Thanks. I am on Linux here, so PhotoShop is not an option. My favourite GIMP retouch tool is the colour curves. I have seen stuff retouched with GIMP that I cannot repeat. Hopefully, the terminology is similar.

Although I'm more Photoshop than GIMP user, I believe most of the functions from Photoshop have some equivalent in GIMP. So if I were you I would just attend this webinar and then tried to apply the knowledge in GIMP.

hi. a question----what is a webinar? is it using a webcam? i really am not up on the latest computer developments.... :)

    October 30, 2012

  • Lilly L.

Alright, I am already getting a ton of emails on this so perhaps I wasn't clear, bear with me because I only get internet connection in spurts so I have to type fast. Between my computer problems and now the storm, I have had to delay these webinars a couple times now. Instead of constantly delaying, I have just pushed it over a year...for now. Once I have a firm date, I will change the date back to the REAL date, and send out several announcements. If you can't make it then, don't worry, I will repeat the class several times. But I am not opening up new classes until I get all the issues sorted. Why am I not just cancelling the class and creating a new one in the future? Because it will nullify the waiting order of the people who signed up first.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    October 30, 2012

  • Lilly L.

My main internet connection has been down all morning and is very sketchy now, so no, this is not a go until all the storm stuff passes. I am going to change these dates to 2013 for the time being just so I don't have to keep explaining myself. When these are ready to go ahead, I will blast out several emails to let everyone know, so please unless you have received personal emails from me, do not assume this is a go. I am not cancelling the event on meetup, so I can maintain the order which people signed up to keep things fair. Hope everyone survived the storm and is safe and well. Cheers

    Hello Lilly,
While waiting on the wait list, I am interested in meeting over coffee to get some help with Photoshop. I'll buy the coffee.

    October 17, 2012

    • Lilly L.

Hi Richard, I would be happy to set up a coffee date, providing you can bring a laptop. giggles. Mine is in the sick ward. :(((( Email me? And we will set something up, next week if you have time.

      October 17, 2012

    • Lilly L.

Richard, I will send you an email now. I would suggest you remove your email addy from this comment though, because meetup.com is public, there are spam trolling software that scans websites like this to pick up emails and then add you to their spam lists, so be careful about posting it publicly. I would hate for you to start receiving emails from Nigerian princes looking to transfer 10 million dollars into your account. :)

I'm sorry guys, I have to keep pushing the date back on this webinar, but until they fix and return my computer, I don't feel I can competently do this workshop. They were suppose to have it back to me last week, but as of yet, I don't have it back, and my old laptop just is not fast enough to run things smoothly. Sorry again, I can't tell you how stressed and frazzled this makes me. I am behind on all my emails and work too. So if you have emailed me the last few days and as of yet have not heard back, please be patient, I am getting through all of them. For those on the waiting list. Once I have the computer issues sorted, I will keep offering the free webinar until everyone has a chance, so please don't worry, just be patient with me. Also in the meantime, if people want to get together in person over a coffee, and get some help with photoshop for free, I am happy to do that. Cheers

    Hi Everyone:

I am so sad to tell you that my computer was not fixed by today as promised by repair shop. So I am currently looking for another solution (a computer fast enough) to run this webinar, but i might have to delay it again until I can get my regular computer back. I am so sorry as I can see their is great interest in this. Please be patient with me. I will get it sorted out and have these webinars eventually. I will keep you posted.

    Hi Lily,
Kindly let me know if any spot frees up, I really want to join this event

Also, any chance this could be opened up to more attendees since it's a webinar anyway?

    Thanks

Hi Antonio, sorry for the late reply, I somehow missed this comment yesterday. The reason why I am limiting it to 15 members at a time is so that people can ask questions and we will have time to respond to everyone. The larger the class, the more I would have to limit people's participation.

Please put me on the waiting list. I was on my computer when your notification came in but even so, the course was filled before I could register.

Hi Carolyn, I had this webinar posted from the first day of the group, I am sad you didn't notice it when you joined. It filled up so quickly on the first day, that I never announced it after that because it was already full. I am working to repeat this workshop as we have 9 attendees, so stay tuned. I have added you to the wait list, but just so you know for future reference you can add yourself, simply by RSVPing when its full.

I love to join this new group

  • Lilly L.

Wow! I did not predict how popular our little Webinar was going to be. If you are on the waiting list, don't be discouraged just yet. I am working to make sure everyone will have a chance to participate, if I get more people interested and on the wait list, I will repeat the free Webinar one more time, or I will do my best to get those waiting added in. If you are attending this web seminar, just a reminder that it is geared towards those who are total beginners. We are going to take it right from the top and go over all the basics. So if you already have some photo editing experience Photoshop you might be a little bored, and want to skip this one, and let someone else have your place. We will have more intermediary webinars directly after this, you can get in on those instead. Looking forward to it!
