I'm a Brit that's been in TO for just over a year now and finally starting to miss those home creature comforts (I'm on Walkers crisps withdrawal) and the sardonic British sense of humour!

What are some of your favourite aspects of British culture?

The fact that we really don't take ourselves too seriously and are happy to laugh at ourselves

Do you agree, should you leave an event under the influence of drink (alcohol) or drugs, that you will find an alternative to driving away (whether designating someone sober to drive you home, taking a cab or taking public transport)?

Absolutely. If I had a car. The insurance is crippling . . . .

Are you British or do you have a family connection to being British? If Yes what is it?

    Hello there Jenny:
I just joined the group because I represent Barbados condos to British expats living in Toronto. There are sooo many brits currently on the island; as I'm sure you know, there has been a very strong connection between Britain and Barbados for some 400+ years now. Have you ever considered owing a condo or villa in Barbados? Lindsay K

Hey Sue, Welcome to EuroPubClub! This month's pub night is at Le Petit Castor on Weds at 8pm - catch you there! I see you're part of the Brit group too - perhaps we'll catch you at quiz night! Oh, and of course, welcome to Toronto.
