RULES & GUIDELINES FOR THE TORONTO SHIBA INU MEETUP GROUP


FOR THE MEETUP EVENTS

*This group is for Shiba Inu owners, past, present and/or future. Membership will be declined by the Organizer, if you make any form of profit by selling Shiba Inus.


*Please know that we want all our dogs and owners to be safe. Please be sure that your dog is friendly to both other dogs and humans. Dogs must be fully vaccinated; preferably spayed/ neutered (if not, please use good judgement in your dog's behaviour). Do not bring your dog if she is in heat! Must have current rabies certificate.


*Owners must be in full control of their dogs at all times.


*Please do not give out treats to other dogs , many dogs have sensitive stomachs and/or allergies you may not be aware of. Ask the owner if it's ok for their dog to have a treat.


*Please be prepared and bring water and doggy bags for your pet. We will visit a lot of public places and would like to remain welcome.


*To effictively plan successful meetup events please RSVP with a yes or a no to each scheduled meetup. Also, after a meetup, come back to your Welcome page on this site to answer your Reminder . This gives you the opportunity to give feedback on the event and it's location. This will help determine future meetups!


*Any members involved in inappropriate behaviour, whether it's in the Message Boards, or at the dog park, can be removed from the group by the Organizer or Asst. Organizer . If a dog is out of control during a meetup, the owner and dog can be asked to leave the meetup by the Organizer or Asst. Organizer, and could result in being removed from the group. You know your dog's behaviour best. Members are always welcome to attend meetups with or without their dogs. This also includes inappropriate means of correcting or controlling your dog either physically or verbally - this includes screaming or yelling at your dog, using excessive force or objects to hit your dog or any other dog . If the Organizer or Asst. Organizer feels the correction or controlling is inappropriate in any way, they will ask the member and their dog to leave the event immediately. Failure to comply to any of the above will result in immediate removal from the Toronto Shiba Inu Meetup Group.


POSTING ON THIS SITE

*No personal attacks or name calling . It's ok if you disagree with something that has been posted, but please respond nicely. Ex: "I respect your opinion, but I see this a bit differently..."


*WE SHOULD RESPECT EACH OTHER AT ALL TIMES


*Avoid offensive or abusive language . Be polite. People of all ages, and across the world read this board, so please keep that in mind when you post something.


*No spamming . Aside from "junk", spamming includes sending the same message over and over, or bumping up the same thread over and over.


*Use common sense when posting. Think before you type. Don't post something you would not want to read.

*If you have a product or a service that you would like promoted in our group please contact the group organizer.

*The Toronto Shiba Inu Meetup group does not support backyard breeders or puppymills - if you see an ad for Shiba puppies that are not from a CKC Breeder, please contact the Organizer. Please DO NOT post the information on this site.


*Do your best to remain an active member by participating in message board discussions as well as meetup events . If you become an "inactive member" by 9 months, you will be contacted by the Organizer. If no reply is received by the Organizer, you will be removed from the group. If you were removed, but do want to stay in the group, please feel free to re-join the group.


*If you feel something inappropriate has been posted, please contact the Organizer or Assistant Organizer immediately. Posts can be closed to further replies and/or be deleted entirely (by the Organizer's discretion).
