Monthly Meet & Greet, May: bring a survival manual

The theme for our May meet & greet will be: survival manual. Everyone is welcome to bring their favorite emergency-preparedness guide, instructional manual, SAS Survival book, prepper blog, or whatever other source you have found useful. We shall discuss their pros and cons.

Our group is large and diverse, and most members are actively seeking out information on preparedness from a variety of sources. Let us get together and share what we have learned!

Monthly gatherings will give us all an opportunity to exchange useful information and discuss a broad range of topics related to urban survival, primitive skills, off-the-grid living, emergency first aid, etc. Both new and experienced members are welcome.

A fine meetup. It was good to see several members whom I recognized from past events.

The discussion about psychopathy and survival (in modern society) was interesting. So, was the forging ancient iron/steel video. (Don't try THAT at home, kidz.)

June hopefully. Purchased rainbow ($2.00) speckled & brown ($2.50) trout from Bruce Green [masked]) If you make it to Feversham, On, go south on Grey Route 2 to Osprey Line to make a left before Con 3, in otherwards you have to go down Osprey to Con 10 make a rite to go to Con 3, cause Con 3 is in two parts which don't meet up and look for #548 033. I purchased about 60 plus fish for $100...lost half of them...went back the next day and purchased another $100. This x I threw 2 handfuls of ice into the 3 containers that was holding the plastic bags every hour and this group made it the full 5 hour drive. The fish were about 5 - 8 inches long although mostly short. Healthy. The trick is the ice and don't stop except for a quick pickup coffee of less than 10 mins. One has to get the fish into water rite away and they must be kept COLD the whole way...which works out well...cause if you put warm fish into cold water they would probably die from the shock.
