Tree Identification Tour

Join LEAF arborist Mark Sherman at the Tommy Thompson Park Spring Bird Festival for this exciting tour on tree identification along the Leslie Spit. Participants will learn how to identify various trees from their bark, buds, twigs, flowers, and young leaves. Compared to the rest of Toronto, this intriguing area represents a relatively youthful part of our urban canopy. Discover the species that make up this early successional urban forest.

Distance: 3 km

Difficulty: Easy

Note: It is strongly recommended that participants dress for the weather.
