Note: Inorder to accommodate everyone interested in the July 14 Bow & Arrow Workshop (http://www.meetup.com/Toronto-Survivalists/events/114915632/), Joe has opened up two more dates! If you were scheduled for the July 14, Bow & Arrow Workshop (or if you are on the waiting list for that day) , and this date works better for you, please remove your "Yes" RSVP from the July 14 event and add it here.

Join Joe, Organizer of the United Survivalist Network of Ontario for a bow & arrow workshop! We will look at bows & arrows as survival tools, how difficult it would be to use a store made vs. a home made and then we will use them at the range.

Joe will bring some recurve and compound bows and arrows which you are welcome to try out. If you have your own bows, please feel free to bring them. You will not be allowed to use cross bows. If you are using your own arrows they have to be field tipped, NO BROAD HEADS.

Note: A donation of $5 is suggested for this meetup (but not required) to cover the cost of wear and tear of the arrows. You may pay Joe upon your arrival to the meetup.

Here are some photos from two bow & arrow workshops we did last year:

For FREE Parking you have 3 options (or you may pay to park at the Science Centre):

1) If you arrive early enough, there are some spots available on the road near the end of Gateway Blvd (go west on Gateway, off Don Mills) just north of the Archery Range.

2) Park at the Shoppers Drug Mart lot, on the East side of Don Mills - just across the road from the range. There is a small road leading into the park North of the range.
The map may be seen here: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?...
Of course, there is always the risk to get tagged/towed if your car spends more than 2 hours on that parking lot…but you can go move it around for another 2 hours.

3) https://maps.google.com/maps?q=m...
Go to Eglinton/Leslie intersection, go north 200 yards and turn left, go to the bottom of hill and turn left, follow till the end and there is a free parking lot. There is a paved path out of the lot heading under the bridge you can follow. Although it is a nice path, it is about a 15min walk.

Here is a link which comes highly recommended from two friends for bow & arrow lessons. They took the lessons as families. If you have an specific course questions send me an email and I will pass them on to my friends who have taken the course. http://www.yorkcountybowmen.com/index.php/school/school.html
