Android is an incredibly popular mobile platform that has taken over the smartphone and tablet world. Luckily, it's very easy to get started. In this talk we'll cover the basics of setting up for Android application development - downloading and configuring the development environment, creating a basic application, and exploring some of the Android APIs through a live coding demo. The talk is a jumpstart for developing your own Android applications.
At the end of the talk, we will also see how to build Android applications using C#. We will do so using Xamarin.
