Underwater Hockey - Regular Game

Hello! Every game typically has 15-18 players showing up, regardless of Meetup RSVPs.

About the fee: All money collected goes directly to the City of Toronto rental contract for use of the pool facilities.

Wednesday Game Details

Skill Level
Wednesday games are generally for regular respectfully-competitive play, therefore these games tend to be faster paced with more experienced players. Beginners are welcome, and will be introduced, however they should try a Monday game (slower pace) if they can!

Time
Please arrive by 8:45 so that we can organize and maximize our permit hour. Go directly to the change rooms to get ready and meet us pool side. In addition, at 10:00 we should be trying to quickly finish up out of respect to the staff who need to lock up.

Rules
General rules and changes will be outlined prior to the game. There are some detailed rules available online here and here. Beginner's are welcomed any night, however they're recommended to try a Monday game first!

Gear
Typically we have enough extra gear for everyone, however with a larger crowd some compromises may be needed. Check out this link to learn more about UWH gear. FYI, it usually takes about 15 minutes for everyone to gear up.

Gear rundown
-Basic swimming gear (trunks or suit, plus a towel)
-Swimming fins
-Mask
-Snorkel
-UWH stick
-UWH glove

Everyone should at least bring their basic swimming gear, however if you have fins, masks or snorkels, please bring them along.

Please let Emmanuel know your shoe size!

Returning Players
It would great if you bring your own gear! Gear can be purchased at some dive/scuba shops, however it's recommended checking out online stores such as CanAmUWH.

Parking & Transit
Trinity-Bellwoods is easily accessible via the Queen streetcar (get off at Crawford Street) or via the Ossington bus (get off at Queen and Ossington and walk east towards Crawford). For those that drive, free parking is available at the pool.

Safety
A waiver will be required from all players. As part of the pool permit, there are 2 city lifeguards on duty while we play. However, foremost, we all look out for each other!

After Game Beer & Food

We usually head to a nearby pub for cheap food and drink.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
