Get to know families who are also vegan, vegetarian or planning to make the big change in the Greater Toronto Area. Offer and receive support, organize play dates, potlucks, share recipes, talk about parenting, animal rights, homeschooling (regular school too!), and food, food, food!!

Who attends the group meetings?

Veg Kids and their Caregivers!!! Vegan, Vegetarian babies, toddlers, kids, and teens, their parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and caregivers living or working in the Greater Toronto Area, and those interested in transitioning to a compassionate plant-based diet!

What kind of meetings do we hold?

Play-dates at parks and The Children's Storefront, potlucks, trips to the Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario, and the local farm sanctuaries.  Participating and creating family friendly areas at local veg events such as, Ryerson's Free Veg*an Week, Vegan Spring Expo. the Veggie Pride Parade, Animal rights protests, and other local Veg events.

We also share recipes, talk about what to feed very picky kids, what to put in school lunches, discuss nutrition during pregnancy and breastfeeding, share family-friendly deals, even offer/barter things for free :)  Let's learn from each other and support each member of our veg family.

How often does the group meet?

Two to three times per week. We are flexible and encourage our members to post their own events too!

Where does the group meet?

Across Toronto, in small and large groups, restaurants, member's homes, play centers, party rooms, playgrounds, parks, museums, galleries, and other veg community gatherings.

Why did we start this group?

To create and nurture a supportive Veg community for our children that embraces environmental, health and ethical views.  Our collective's  purpose is to offer and receive support and encouragement, share our experiences and make new friends!  We also welcome aunts, uncles, cousins, grand-parents, other caregivers and their animal companions :)

Our group will NEVER ask for membership fees. If you own a "VEGAN" / "Cruelty-Free" business and would like to see your logo and link on our front page, the monthly fee is $25, with 6-month sponsorships minimum, payable by Paypal.

We use the sponsorship cash to pay this website's hosting fees, pay for occasional meeting space rentals, donate to local farm sanctuaries..etc
