Does anybody know the time and place for the non-Rose and Crown meetups? I was hoping to receive an e-mail with this info since I have no idea who to approach for it. Thanks.

Worked like a charm.
Met wonderful people; felt good to talk 'shop' - really. :)
It was really good meeting you all, I hope to get inspiration from this group
Choice of place was actually doable.....no hickey crowds.....we cud actually hear one another well enough...and as usual, all I met were fantastic and super talented!
very helpful and informative.

Sorry for the late change in RSVP. I am sick today and I doubt I'll feel well enough to join you guys tomorrow night. I'll see you all next month though!
Do I need to bring a piece of my own writing? I would prefer to just sit in for my first meeting as I haven't written anything I'm comfortable with sharing in at least a year or two.
sorry had to reschedule another appt. for this evening. see next time. thnks.
I always want to improve my writing. Hope to learn from you all. Please let me know what will the agneda. Therefore, I can prepare for this. Thanks.

Just curious, how many copies do people bring of their writing samples? Any other tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

There were quite a few people at the last meeting but we were in small groups, if I remember correctly the group I was in had 6 or 7.
Other than myself.
I look forward to meeting you all, but I share the reservations several others have expressed about the choice of site. It doesn't sound like an environment that's very conducive to reading, much less reading aloud, or any interpersonal exchange beyond miming and shouting.
It's actually a very nice venue and a great group of people (in the backroom of a pub with couches and such) It was my first time last month and I found that it was a little loud but not overly so. But you should definitely bring copies so people can follow what you're reading and give more indepth critique.
Thanks, Daniela. Obviously, I should reserve judgment until I've been there. Confidence in the appropriateness of the site isn't exactly helped by reviews like this one:
Wow... what a review! that person needs to come to the group, they're so creative, lol... you're welcome!
I'm new to this, and I'm wondering how many people normally attend meetings, and if they are always the same people. Not sure what the format of the meetings are, but if someone could give me an idea, I would truly appreciate it.

any chance the weekly meetings are still happening? March was a bad month for overtime and held me back...still want to meet weekly if that's still happening...

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
