Moose Viewing Adventure Bus Day Trip

Algonquin Park is One of the Best Places in the World to View MooseWildlife Viewing and Algonquin Park early Spring Hiking Adventure Bus Day Trip

Algonquin Park, Ontario - Ontario is a nature-lover's paradise: 7,725 km of lakes, rivers, forest, trails, camping, comfortable lodges, 2000 km of canoe routes It's also, perhaps the best place in North America to spot moose. There are about 3500 in the park. The best time for spotting them is in May and June, and it's easiest in the early morning along 'the Corridor', a the 56-km stretch of Hwy 60 that cuts through the southwest section of the park. The moose often come right to the roadside. Sodium-depleted from the winter months, moose hang around the highway because of the salty water in roadside ditches and marshes (for a moose, a marsh is like a big salad bowl). Salt is deposited in this area each winter during snow removal. Take hwy speed warnings seriously. This is a great area for spotting the majestic moose.

Thank you all, it was a wonderful day. We saw so many moose we had to pull out a moose swatter. So many moose that we had to stop stopping the bus every time we saw a moose because with so many moose sightings we were getting behind schedule. Even on a hike a moose blocked our trail and they had to wait till the moose left the trail to continue the hike. The bus driver is serious that he wants to milk the moose and sell it overseas. I hope he can tell the difference between a female and a male moose.

Your trips always sound so great, but I'd really like to enjoy it with my entire family (I have a 2 yr old and a 6 month old). So I was hoping you can include in the description whether your trips are kid-friendly. Unless none of your trips are. Thank you!

Are those the only 2 pick up spots? You used to pick up in Mississauga

Hi Fran, sorry, but we had to drop Mississauga. Most people were getting on at a TTC subway station and the third pickup was simply making the pickups and drop-offs tooooo long. It was a decision we had to make.
