Cycling the Holland Marsh

Lets go for a ride in the picturesque Holland Marsh. We'll start at the Newmarket GO Bus Terminal and head out for a ~50km ride going around the Holland Marsh area. The Newmarket GO Bus Terminal operates on weekends with at least hourly trips to/from Union Station. The bus fare is $14.10 for a return ticket. We can also carpool. If you are willing to take carpooler's, please indicate in your RSVP how many bikes your bike rack can safely carry in addition to your own, and
roughly the part of Toronto that you'll be starting out from. This is a nice way to get a good bike ride in and still be back in the city for the evening. Before you RSVP, please make sure you're able to ride at least ~ 22km/h on an ongoing basis. I expect we'll finish the course in about 3 hours, including short rest stops. Following the ride, you'll have the option to join us at one of the restaurants in Newmarket to grab a late lunch with the group. Cheers, - Andy

I think this was the most picturesque ride yet. I'll definitely try to schedule another ride to Holland Marsh soon; more people should get to see the wonderful scenery!

It was nice to get out of the city. A nice quiet ride in the country. And lots of carrots and onions :)

Looks like we'll be safe at least until after lunch time after all!

I think biking in rain is fun as long as it doesnt turn into a gizmo storm.

I'm not sure if I can make it if it rains. I have nothing in terms of wet weather gear, except for a $1.50 poncho from Wal-Mart...

Rob, no worries. Consider your place reserved. We'll see how the weather shapes up. I'll personally ride in LIGHT rain.
