Bells on Yonge

Bells on Yonge is a community bike ride to promote a safe cycling route in the Yonge corridor. We will have a police escort to Queen's Park where we will meet with Bells on Bloor and others for camaraderie. Meet at Duplex Parkette (east end) between noon and 12:30 (we leave at 12:30). Glad to hear nothing is broken. Take good care, rest, and think positive ... that you'll soon be riding with us once again!

Thanks Sylvia! I went to hospital today and did x-ray,good those bones are not broken. Arm still cannot move so doctor gave me 3 days off from work. Not sure how serious it is and have to wait couple of weeks to see. Hopefully there are no serious rotator cuff issues, otherwise it will take longer time to recover. Thanks

Jane, I am so sorry to hear that you fell and injured your arm. Did you go to have it x-rayed? If not, I strongly suggest you do just to make sure nothing is broken. And to the other biker who was passing you unannounced, it would be a good lesson to us all to signal in some way - bell or otherwise, that we intend to pass ... especially on a dangerous slope.

I started out this morning to meet at the Duplex Parkette south of Lawrence. But lo and behold when me & bike got off at the Lawrence subway station I could see there was no elevator at that station! So I got back on and went to the Eglinton station; but by the time I found the Community Centre I guess you guys had already passed. Hope to see you next time.

Attendance was a little disappointing, probably because of the weather. Next year it should be back to a June date.
