Bayview, Pottery, rinse and repeat.

This is the urban version of hill climbing.

We'll start out at Yonge and Davenport, head down Rosedale Valley Road to Bayview, up Bayview to Moore Ave, then back down Bayview and up Pottery. From there we'll head along Broadview to Timothy's for some fuel, and continue across the Bloor-Danforth viaduct to Rosedale, which will get us to the top of Bayview. Down Bayview, up Pottery, down pottery and up Bayview. There's a definite pattern developing here. For the finale, we'll roll down Bayview, past Brickworks, and ride up Rosedale Valley, which will seem flat and easy by comparison, and bid each other adieu at Yonge and Davenport.

Hope to see you out there on the road!

Excellent training run but wish I had a racing bike to keep up. I had a regular street bike.

Is the ravine ride portion on a trail suitable for a road bike?

oops, the ravine description is old. we'll just be going down Bayview and then back up Rosedale Valley Rd. I might re-add the ravine run once I get a chance to check out the trail conditions.

i might be in for this but want to bring my road bike whats the avg expected speed?

We were doing about 25 km/h on average. Going down Bayview, almost all of us were peaking over 52km/h for about 600 to 800 metres.

Road bikes are fine for this ride as it's 90 percent on streets: the other ten percent is the separated eastbound climb up the Pottery Road bike lane, also fully paved.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
