FAST ride to Port Credit and Back (No Hills in High Park) 25km/hr

Let's get a fast training jaunt in for the Halton Hilly in this Thursday.

Who's up for a F.A.S.T. ride (acronym to be determined later) out to Port Credit and back Wednesday Evening? Pace will be the same as the Tuesday rides, 25-30 km/hr, but we'll dispense with the hill climbing to keep our ending time around 9:00 P.M.

We'll meet at the usual spot on the Martin Goodman trail, West end of Coronation Park, just south of the Princes' Gates.

We'll ride out to Port Credit Starbucks, recharge, and ride back to the Humber Bridge. There's the high probability of drinks afterwards in the High Park and Bloor Area.

Terrain - Flat

Speed - 25-30km/hr

Distance - 40-50 km

Weather - If there's a 50% or greater chance of showers or 40% of Thunderstorms, ride will be postponed.

Equipment - Road Bike recommended, front and rear Lights, Helmet, etc

Good ride but getting cold evenings. My odometer had us at an average speed of 23.5 but we hit quite few lights. We often went well over 30.

I am not sure whether I can come or not. Have an eye irritation. I will change my RSVP later if it doesn't get any better.

Hope it gets better! FYI, we will be taking Lakeshore there and back to avoid the paths and any bugs in the eye.

By the way, MEC bike shop has a road ride same day at 6pm if you want to join them. I've went with them once, they rode the same path to Port Credit but not sure if they mix up the route.

Is that an error of the calendar that says "to Sunday, September 15, 2013, 8:30 PM"?

We've had some stragglers in the past... ;) I'm not sure why when I copy a previous meetup it wreaks such havoc with the ending time. Thanks for catching that!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
