Biking Across Canada, One Province at a Time

Please note: Drop-In Program. Limited Space. First Come, First Seated.

In the summer of 2013, Katharine Stanbridge quit her job, gave up her apartment in Toronto, and flew to Vancouver to fulfill her dream of cycling across Canada. Solo. Three months, ten provinces, and two flat tires later, she's back in Toronto and sharing her stories.

    Congratulation on her success.
The session could have been more informative even though she has a blog on it! I would love to share my experiences in Asia and the Himalayan riding at the highest motorable road in the world.

Hey Hazlul - looks like you've had a lot of awesome rides. I've only done Canada, Mexico and Italy. My brother-in-law has cycled in over 40 countries, including 15 in Asia. Hopefully we can meet up on a ride sometime.

A good talk with an enthusastic speaker. And she made the whole trip on a hybrid and would do so again, saying she thinks road bikes are too prone to flats and broken spokes for this sort of touring.

Wow, other than riding from one end of the country to the other, is that she only got two flats tires! I wish I had that kind of luck just riding to work & back on a daily basis!!! ; )
