Changing a flat tire on your road bike

On the weekend i got a flat tire and today i took some time to see what was wrong.

Point 1 - Determine if the tire tube or the tire needs to be replaced

Point 2 - You can purchase either a patch it or a brand new tire tube
New patch kit cost me $4.51 @ Canadian Tire
New tire tube was @10 @ Gears Bike Shop (mississauga road/lakeshore)

Unfortunately, i made the mistake of purchasing the tube first, not thinking that I could have bought the patch kit and used it multiple times.

Don't use any screw drivers like I did, I accidently poked a hole in the new tire tube I bought and therefore had to buy the patch it.

Determine if the tire or the tire tube needs to be changed. Tires for road bikes start at $40 vs. Tube @ $10

Hope this helps, if you have anything to add feel free to reply.

are you sick tube cost no more than 5 $ you can get tires form 7$ to 100$ and when you go ryding you should alway travel with at least on spare tube

once you have badly broken tube you no longer need to buy a patch kit just use the damaged tube to fix all your punctured tube
most amatures who give advise are often wrong when it comes to bicycles
no offense intended you seem to be one of them
