February Doberman Meetup

UPDATE: Just spoke with Beth, and the meetup location will be at Sir Winston Churchill. Looks like a fabulous park! Please take photos, as I've never seen this location before. :)

For more information on this off leash park, here's a useful link: http://www.bringfido.com/attraction/773/

I will be in Belize during this time, so I'm completely open to meet up ideas- where would you like the February doberman meet up to be?! Who'd like to take on the role of host? ;)

I didn't go because I don't know the park. I have a "runner" and just can't take a chance of her getting out. Looking at the pictures, it looks like it is quite well fenced, (unlike High Park!).
    Next time.

Sorry I missed it! Swamped with work, so my monster had to contend with napping and playing with toys today. Will definitely hit the next one!

    Hello All,

    Info for all:
The fenced area is located south of the Tennis Courts. The area will be a bit muddy/icy due to the mild weather. I was there this morning its still somewhat icy/slippery but OK for the dogs. I am not sure if it is worth mentioning but in my experience is better not to bring any kind of toys/sticks/balls to the dog park to avoid having issues with clueless owners or possesive/agressive dogs, I am not referring to any dog in particular.
My dog is still a puppy and she is very friendly (1 year old mix Doberman/Hound/Lab) and likes to chase or be chased if she can steal a ball/stick etc. See you all tomorrow!!

My child 11 yrs old will be with me.

That's great - just keep your child close to you, as the dogs tend to be boisterous at times, and we wouldn't want the doberdogs to accidentally dog your baby over ;)

    What about:
Sir Winston Churchill Dog Park, Fenced
301 St. Clair Ave W, Spadina Rd and St.Clair Ave?
There is parking and lots of space for the dogs to run.

I just spoke with Beth, and I just picked her first choice of Sir Winston Churchill Park. I hope you guys have a great time, and make sure you take lots of photos!

With Lindsay on vacation we have to decide amongst ourselves where it's going to be, so far there's 8 attending, we can probably get more for a great turnout if a final location is chosen before the weekend.

We havent been to the suggested Sir Winston Churchill park and are willing to go there and Thomson park is sort of our 'home-base' since it's so close to the 401

Make it Thompson Park and we'll be there.

We went to Thomson last weekend, had to park in the main lot, since they dont maintain the dog park lot :/

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
