Hands On Pottery Wheel Workshop | Feb 21

Have you have ever wanted to try your hand at making pottery on a potter's wheel? Well then here's your opportunity to make your very own creation - a bowl, a vase, a cup, a flower pot or something else. Your creation is limited only by your imagination. So what will you make?

This is an introductory class and beginners are welcome.

Clothing

Until you get some experience on a wheel, clay is likely to fly off your wheel and splatter not only you but likely the people around you. :-). That's OK, it's expected. However, please wear appropriate clothing such as old T-shirts that you don't mind spoiling. An old apron is also recommended if you have one available.

You will also find that your hands get very dry and you may wish to bring some hand lotion for use after the class is over.

Notes

Please note that your creations will not be available for you to take home on the night of this class since they need to be fired in the ovens. A follow up date will be scheduled to allow you to either attend the painting (glazing) class or for you to pick up your unglazed piece. The cost of the follow-up glazing session will be $15 per person.

Payment

The cost is $40 per person and includes museum admission, 2 hour pottery wheel workshop, all materials, the oven firing, and all taxes.

Class size is limited and advance payment is required for this event. The best way is to pay online when you RSVP for this event. Payment can be made with any major credit card or Paypal. A Paypal account is not required.  If you prefer to pay using a different method, please send me an email.

See you there!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
