Mardi Gras: New Orleans Jazz with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra

  • Roy Thomson Hall

URGENT UPDATE: Please note that the Elephant & Castle Pub, our originally scheduled meeting point, has closed for renovations. We will NOT be meeting at the Elephant & Castle Pub. Please see me in the Box Office Lobby of Roy Thompson Hall between 7:30 and 7:45 PM and introduce yourself. I will have your tickets for you. The show starts at 8:00 PM.

We are going back to Roy Thompson Hall for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra's performance of Mardi Gras: New Orleans Jazz music.

This jubilant, toe-tapping tribute takes you to the city where jazz was born—New Orleans—when it's at its most vibrant and colourful: Mardi Gras! If you like toe tapping music, this is the evening for you 'cos your toes are gonna be a 'tappin!

As a special treat this evening, you are going to enjoy Byron Stripling's blazing horn and winning personality take centre stage for a spicy gumbo of classic jazz favourites. If you have not heard this man play the trumpet before, here's a sample Youtube video for you. Just click on the play button below.

Our Seats

We have reserved seats in the balcony in section R8. Every seat at the Roy Thompson Hall is a good seat. We are especially close to the orchestra stage sitting above it.

Price

Our special group discounted ticket price is $36.75 ea. This is roughly an 18% discount from the regular price of $44.75 ea. All taxes and ticket/box office fees are included.

Meeting Point

Please see me in the lobby of Roy Thompson Hall near the box office window. The main entrance is on Simcoe St.

I will be in the lobby from 7:30 to 7:45 PM, wearing a large yellow name tag with my name on it. At 7:45 PM, I will go inside and get seated. If you arrive after 7:45 PM, please show your ID to the staff at the box office window and they will give you your ticket.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
