find a compass if you can! although i orienteered without a compass for a year and a half ... so it is not an absolute, it does help sometimes... :)
if you don t have one... just do it without a compass and then decide if you want to buy one... you can get a pretty good one for 10$ ... fire back any questions!

So what to bring... are you a jogger or hiker? Wear what ever you would wear to go jogging, or hiking... some people wear running shoes (trail shoes, with big treads) other hiking boots... i orienteered in hiking boots for a long time. Bring water and a full change of clothes for after !! very veyr important! gas cost will be split by the number of passengers in the car, the max i ever payed was 10$ ... but i was alone... expect 5$ i think. A train to Ajax cost 6.50 ...

hey ! okay ... the 20 $ actually it is 22.40$ if i remember correctly... it is payed while registering online with credit card... (debit card might also work). I have a car leaving very near union station, Deborah will be probably the one picking you up.
