Free Junction Movie Night: OUTDOOR CINEMA

I have never been out a movie outdoors. I found this notice on a local newspaper. I am hoping a few member might be interested! Let's have fun under the stars watching a free movie at:

The Junction Train Platform
2960 Dundas St. W.

The Fruit Hunters

I found a bit of overview of the movie as follows:

In this cinematic trip through nature and commerce, fruit fanatics guide the viewer across culture, history and geography to explore our relationship with fruit and the natural world. Actor Bill Pullman's obsession …

on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 9:30pm. I know the time is late. However, the Junction area is a safe area with lots of stores, bars, restaurants, etc. The TTC directions, just take a Junction 40 bus and get off at Dundas/pacific Ave. I will provide my cell number closer to the date.

Thanks and looking forward in hopefully meeting a few of you!

..the movie was fun. We had stopped by the beet too to grab a drink and get good seats. I discovered a new neighborhood to explore in to will definitely go back when I have more time to spend.

Hi Elaine, I have received your cell text. Thanks for letting me know you were there. My apologies for us not to meet. Unfortunately, the service at The Beet was slow, my husband, one meetup member and I showed up late. In the future, I where my bright pink hat or make some wacky balloon flower for my wrist, then I can't be missed. I am really glad you and your friend enjoyed movie. I do hope we might me at future meetup.

Fair warning - The Beet, doesn't have the widest selection of beer, but it definitely has a few nice ones and it's by far my favourite place in the Junction! I'll try to swing by for about 8:30pm

Looks like your familiar with going to some of places in the Junction. In my case, I don't really drink beer. I wouldn't mind trying out their smoothies. Hope my husband will like the limited selection of beers as he enjoys bear. If you are able to come that would be nice, if not then see you at the movie!

Hi Everyone! Thanks to everyone who signed up! I am really looking forward tonight! My husband Kenn and i will be leaving early to have one or two drinks before the movie. We can go to The Beet, suggested by Irene. It's an organic restaurant which as wide selection of beers, fresh juices and smoothies, mmm...There's also a nice patio. It's located at 2945 Dundas St. W. (one block east of where the movie will be seen) Anyone is welcome to join us. We should be there around 8pm. Irene, thanks for your feed and assistance, as I suffer a bit of shyness. I joined meetup.com to try an overcome it as best as possible. Using the comments section for additional ideas for meetup sounds nice and simple( I hope so) Looking forward in meeting some of you!

Hi Irene, I have sent the group an e-mail. Perhaps, something might be figured out in grabbing a drink beforehand. We'll see what happens.
