Announcing a new event for The Toronto Multi-Language & Culture Exchange Community!

What: Exploring Cross-Cultural Communication: Lost in Translation

When: Saturday, May 12, 2:30 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Event Description: Exploring Cross-Cultural Communication: Lost in Translation

I would like to explore the theme of cross-cultural communications in our next meet-up through the film Lost in Translation.

One challenge is to become fluent in a foreign language another challenge is to become fluent in a foreign culture, something that is never explicitly taught. We are such a diverse group that it would be interesting to share and learn more about our own culture and the culture of others. After the film we will discuss our own experiences of culture shock and our experiences of effectively and not so effectively communicating and living in a language and culture foreign to our own.

The movie will start at 2:30pm on Saturday, May 12, 2007. The movie is approx. 1hr45min.

To see more the plot summary:
Official movie site:

This is a private event/screening at World Inspirations Language & Culture Centre located on the North West corner of Yonge/Wellesley at 6a Wellesley Street West.

Really looking forward to the learning experience with you!
