Show & Tell - "You are what you don't say"

This is our keynote monthly networking opportunity, hosted by Tony Lee (GIGER MEDIA) and this month we are pleased to announce an all new format - Show & Tell.

Non-verbal communication is just as important as the spoken word. We all make decisions based on visual perception.

The object of this exercise is to see how other people perceive your business, products or services, by simply presenting them with an object of your choice. Be it subtle, wacky or serious, the item you bring should be something you think people would or could associate with your business, which explains either:

a. What your business does, or

b. What you want people to think about your business, or

c. Why someone should buy from you.

Obvious examples might include a calculator (accountants), a lens (photographer), or slightly off beat a large cut out keyword or shape relating to your business name or product. The choice is yours.

We will ask you to:

1. Introduce yourself by name and business only, and which option from above your object represents.

2. Show us the item you have brought with you.

3. The audience will then be asked to Tell us what it means.

The best 'presentation' will be selected to give a more complete pitch of their business at the end of the networking.

Evening Agenda:

6.30 - 7.00: Registration and free networking (coffee)

7.00 - 7.10: Welcome and intro

7.10 - 7.45: ROUND ONE - Show & Tell

7.45 - 8.15: The Meeting Venue Uber Buffet!

8.15 - 8.50: ROUND TWO - Show & Tell

8.50 - 9.00: Close and free networking

    I've just added a comment to the LinkedIn Discussion for last nights meeting.
    Did you know there are 83 members here, where we actually book for meetings, but the LinkedIn Group has 112, so there's almost 30 additional people that could read the LinkedIn page. In fact it's probably more because there is bound to be at least one person on this membership list who isn't on LinkedIn yet.
    So lets tell that other 30 + people what they are missing by not coming to our meetings!

    Having come 2nd for memorability last night, I hope it went further and some of you took something useful away from my 2 minutes of fame.

    Thanks to all involved in arranging the meeting last night - 16th April. This was my first meeting and I found people were very friendly, welcoming and you had two good speakers. The refreshments were also very good, which after a long day certainly helps! I look forward to the next meeting.
