Providence Bridge Pedal - NOT A TDC SPONSORED EVENT

  • Aug 11, 2013 · 7:00 AM

From the organizer's website: Bikes, bridges and free admission to the Bite of Oregon afterwards are in store for the annual Providence Bridge Pedal and Stride. Since 1996, this is the only opportunity each year to enjoy the Willamette River bridges – including the top decks of the Fremont and Marquam bridges – from the best possible vantage point: the seat of a bicycle. Avid cyclists and novice pedalers, young and old, savor this opportunity. With bike rides from 3 to 36 miles, as well as a five-mile walk, the event offers choices appropriate for everyone.

Start time and location is variable depending on which route you chose. More details on their website:

Was a great ride, kept my pace at 19.5Mph heading out highway 30 towards the St Johns Bridge, zoomed up the grade. All that TDC training and ride has really helped up my pace and hill climbing speed. Was looking for other riders, but didn't see any on the 10 bridge ride

One of the best rides this year.

I won't be there, but in year's past, the area along Naito is a zoo. A typical recommended "meetup" location is the memorial square on Naito and Oak, just north of the Morrison Bridge.

I'm doing the 10 bridge ride, looks like good weather for Sunday so far. Do we want to try and meet up somewhere near the start?

Great news - I do no have to ride the express ride starting on the Fremont bridge. I can ride any of the other rides. I would like to ride with the group.
    My goals are:
    1 have fun.
    2 complete the ride

Where do I meet up with this group for the ride?

I signed up for the Express - start at 6am ride from the Freemont Bridge. I may have made a mistake - I think I should have signed up for the 10 bridge ride at 7am
