Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course

Come join us for an adventure in the trees as we participate in an obstacle course built way up high off the ground! Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course is a test of your strength and courage and you climb, crawl, balance, and fly through the air, all while dozens of feet up off the ground. You work your way through four different courses (green, blue, red, and black), each progressively harder than the last. It takes about 3 +/- hours to complete to whole event.

This video will give you an idea of what it's like.

HOW TO DRESS (from the vendor's FAQ): Appropriate footwear and clothing is required for safety purposes: We recommend that you wear fingerless gloves; do not wear open-toed shoes; no flipflops; no slip-on shoes; no loose baggy clothing or shirts wrapped around the waist; long hair must be tied back; secure eyeglasses and, we strongly recommend no jewelry - especially necklaces or loose bracelets which could get caught in equipment. As well, we recommend that you wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirt or sap on (they’re trees, it just happens). Guests can be refused access to the course if they do not have appropriate clothing to meet our safety standards.  We also recommend long pants if you are planning on going through all the adult courses due the Pirate Rope during which you will drag/use your legs on a thick woven rope.  For our female participants we recommend longer shorts or yoga or workout tights.  For males we recommend longer shorts, workout clothing or similiar.

TO PARTICIPATE: call FLAGSTAFF EXTREME at[masked] and join the "Trail Mix" group reservation. You'll need to pay them for your spots. Once you've done that, RSVP here so we know you're coming. (We're not participating in their group discounts because that would involve me paying for the whole event in advance).

More info about the course can be found at their website here.

Our start time on the course is 9:30, but you must arrive by 9:00 for check-in, gear pickup, and training!

CARPOOL LOCATION: We'll meet at the McDonald's parking lot at the intersection of Carefree Highway and I-17. The address is 3140 W Carefree Highway, Phoenix, AZ. Park along the wall by the street. We'll leave there by 7:15 am.

DIRECTIONS: I-17 north to exit 337. Turn left and head west over the highway and enter the Fort Tuthill County Fairground. Follow signs until you reach the registration building. Remember you MUST arrive 30 minutes before the course start time for check-in, getting your gear, and training!

    Hi folks,

So far we have 14 RSVPs and only 7 paid. So some of y'all haven't registered with the provider. If you haven't already done so, please call FLAGSTAFF EXTREME at[masked] and join the "Trail Mix" 9:30 group reservation. You'll need to pay them for your spots and those of your guests.

On Wednesday, I am releasing any unused spots to the public pool so I don't get billed for them. So please make sure you register and pay now or you may not get in.

    Thanks! :-)
