Dixie Peak From 40th St and Shea (PSC2013)

Let's try this hike again. Hopefully there will be no dust/rainstorms! Lets hike Dixie Peak, part of the 2013 Phoenix Summit Challenge! From 40th St., we will take the trail just east of the restrooms going up the quartz ridge to top of Dixie Peak. Follow Dixie Peak up hill. At saddle, go left up to final summit. We will go back the same route. Expect loose rocks, step ups and steep climbs. We will go at a moderate pace.

Difficulty wise, I would compare this to the south side of Shaw Butte.
