Come out for an evening hike on the Ranger Trail, part of the 2013 Phoenix Summit Challenge! This route offers us a strenuous workout but rewards us with a fantastic night time view from the ridgeline along the National trail. We'll continue on to Goat Hill and pause at the top for a bit before heading back down the same way. You're encouraged to bring snacks, a camera, and must bring at least 2 liters of water per person and sturdy hiking footwear. You should also bring a flashlight and/or a headlamp as we'll be in the dark for much (or all) of the hike depending on the time of year.
