Quartz Trail - McDowells - From Lost Dog Trail Head

Come out and hike on the Quartz Trail in the McDowells! This trek offers us access to a rare rock formation in a remote section of the preserve. We'll stop along the way and take a longer break at the giant quartz outcropping to enjoy the geology and views before heading back. You're encouraged to bring snacks, cameras, sun protection and must bring at least 2+ liters of water per person and sturdy hiking footwear.

DIRECTIONS: From Via Linda and 124th St in Scottsdale, head north on 124th until the road ends at a small circle. Enter the preserve by continuing north into the dirt parking lot.
