This hike is rated INTERMEDIATE.
Join us for some annual Thanksgiving bird at Thunderbird park! We'll climb our way through the H-3 trail and return along the H-1 or H-2, members can choose whether to take the long or short route back. We'll stop along the way and take a longer break at the top. You're encouraged to bring snacks, sun protection of some sort and must bring at least 2+ liters of water per person and sturdy hiking footwear.
DISTANCE: 4 (or 5) miles roundtrip
ELEVATION GAIN: 500 ft (possibly 2x)
DURATION: 2 (or 3) hours

DIRECTIONS: Follow the Google map link above to the Thunderbird Park main entrance and park by ramada #4 on this map.
Good hike on the H-x trails. Always happy to meet new hikers and see some that we don't see every week. Only slight downside is you are never really away from city views. But good trails nevertheless for a change of pace.

Bummed I couldn't find a parking spot anywhere. Headed up the road to the lot on pinnacle peak to do that hike. Hope u guys have fun!
