Evening hike around the VOAz loop

Join me for an evening hike around the Dreamy Draw VOAz loop. The VOAz loop is an irregular trail built by the Volunteers for Outdoor Arizona which connects the Dreamy Draw side of the preserve to the Squaw Peak portion. Along the way, we'll hike on sections of the #100, #1A and #302 trails leading to the upper saddle on the Piestewa side of the preserve. We'll be treated to beautiful nighttime views and get in a terrific workout! There are lots of steep ups and downs with loose rocks so be careful. We will go at a moderate pace. You're encouraged to bring snacks, a camera and must bring at least 2+ liters of water per person and sturdy hiking footwear. You should also bring a flashlight and/or a headlamp as we'll be in the dark during this hike.

DIRECTIONS: AZ Route 51 to exit 7 - Northern Ave. Head east on Northern Ave and you'll immediately enter the park. Continue on the winding access rd until you reach the parking lot.
