Hike Papago Park with optional activities after

This hike is rated EASY.
Come join me and have some fun at Papago. We will hike the double butte trail along with climbing around and on the buttes. It is up to you how much you want to climb. My dogs love this hike. You're encouraged to bring a camera and must bring at least 2 liters of water per person and sturdy hiking footwear.
This hike is cross posted with Phoenix 2-Hour. Please only sign up on one, it is less confusing for me ;)
DISTANCE: 3 miles roundtrip
ELEVATION GAIN: 250 ft
DURATION: 2 1/2 hours
DOGS: Yes, if leashed.

DIRECTIONS: Folllow the google map link above. If coming from 202 to Priest to Gavin Parkway, turn left at light (NOT towards the zoo which requires a right turn at this light). go to the first ramada on the right. This can be confusing, please feel free to call or text if you have trouble finding me.
If you want you may join me after the hike for a trip to the Botanical Gardens which is FREE from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Bring a lunch to eat before heading over.

Finding the parking lot can be tricky. Follow the instructions above and you should find me. Feel free to call if you are driving around Papago. Also, I mentioned my dogs love this hike but they are not allowed in the Botanical Gardens so please leave your dogs at home if you plan to join in our after hike activities. If you are only hiking you are welcome to bring your dogs. I will be bringing a picnic lunch to eat before going to the gardens. There is food there if you prefer. Remember to bring plenty of water.
