Telegraph Pass - South Mountain to National Trail East. This hike is rated BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE.

Come join me as we hike from the Telegraph Pass Trail through the saddle and turn east on the National Trail. This is a great hike for beginners to test your skills since it starts out very easy and ends as an intermediate hike due to the climbing that is packed on during the last half mile. This is one of my favorite hikes with a beautiful view at the saddle.
You should bring a camera, a hat, sunscreen and must bring 2+ liters of water per person and sturdy hiking footwear.
This hike is cross posted with Phoenix 2-Hour. Please only sign up on one, it is less confusing for me ;)

Directions:
Use this address for GPS 761 South Desert Foothills Pkwy, Ahwatukee, AZ (this is a residence that is close to the trailhead then follow directions below).
From I 10E (towards Tucson from Phoenix) take the exit for East Chandler Blvd. Follow until you come to a 3 way stop and turn left continuing on Chandler Blvd. (If you don’t turn you end up on Ray Road.) Then turn right at light onto S. Desert Foothills Pkwy.
Pass a school on left, continue up the hill, the parking lot for trail is on the right at the crest of the hill. Most people drive past it. If you start going back down the hill or you get to 4th Street you’ve gone too far.
