Introduction
I'm Katrinka. I'm slower than you, but I get there eventually.
We like to make hiking a social activity. Who might you bring with you on your next hike to share the fun?
I usually bring Ellie, my 7 year old rat terrier. She is very polite, friendly and quiet but I just can't go fast enough for her. I have a couple human friends I would bring if they could just find the time.
What's your favorite trail/place to hike?
Anywhere away from traffic is good. I'd rather not see houses or hear cars when I'm hiking.
Would you be willing to lead a hike?
Yes, once I get in better shape I'd like to lead hikes in Spur Cross and Cave Creek recreational areas since they are so close to home.
Do you have a particular hiking goal?
TO GET BACK IN SHAPE so that I can better keep up with the long-legged and the four-legged ones.
Does your profile picture clearly show your face as required by our group policies? (I.e. it's not your dog, your children, a cartoon, a nature scene, a mask, the back of your head, random group shots, and especially not a blurry tiny photo, etc.)
You can definitely pick me out of a crowd from this photo.

"I'm looking for more hiking groups that offer treks closer to my home in Cave Creek. I've got great hiking all around me, but I like going with a group - I end up going further and faster, and I just enjoy the trip more!"

1/21/12 For my first time with this group, I could not have been happier. Just the nicest folks, and a great leader. I am SO happy I went today (first hike in the McDowell Mtns ever for this native Arizonan!). I look forward to more!

Hi Katrinka-
Yep, I logged onto the site instead of just using my phone and there was your message. :) From where we parked to the ramada is actually the H1 trail, where it turns up the hill is H2. I didn't have my GPS on that night, but we probably hiked around 1.5 miles each way on the H1 section of the trail. Just keep it up and you'll be in the front of the pack before you know it! -
