Wear your favorite holiday costume or attire (or just wear normal running attire) and come get your jingle on at this fun, holiday 10k.
Come to either sing or listen to Christmas carols while trail running! This is the third year of trail running while caroling. Last year, when we ran and sang Christmas Carols, we brought smiles to most of the 150+ other runners/walkers who we ran past. A few of the people we ran past even joined us in caroling.
You are welcome to just run and listen to other runner's carol, or you can also join us in your favorite Christmas Carols.
It does not matter how good or bad of a singer you are, if you like traditional Christmas carols, come run! Personally, I am not a very good singer, but, ... I like to sing Christmas carols.
If you enjoy singing christmas songs, and do not mind doing it in an unusual place... join us. If you do not know how to sing, you should come... if you know how to sing, you should join in. I will bring copies of songbooks.
We will run just on the wide 5k trail by the river. We will do two loops. We will likely run pass 100 to 200 people who are out walking or running.
Place: The Cochran Shoals / Sope Creek location in the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.
We will be running an easy pace of about 12:00+ minutes per mile (so we can read the words while running)
We will do brunch after the run at JChristophers.
*Please remember to bring $3 for parking or the annual parking pass.
