92 Mill View Ave, Roswell, GA
Place: Vickery Creek park location in the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.
There are many loops in this park. I will be running 6-7 mile.
The trails along Big Creek are very scenic with the sound of a rushing mountain creek and waterfall which make it an enjoyable place to trail run.
The trails have both flat and hilly sections. I plan on starting the trail run at the Roswell Mill trail parking area. (We will start off running to the 30 ft high dam and back to the parking lot before heading across the covered bridge... so if you are a up to about 10 min. late, enjoy the view at the covered bridge... and we will see you in a few min.)
**There is free parking at this parking lot**
Directions to Vickery Creek- Roswell Mill trail parking: From GA 400 North:
From the 285 Perimeter, Take GA 400 north to Northridge Rd, exit 6.
Turn right and continue heading WEST (cloverleaf ramp) 0.5 mile to Roswell Road.
Turn right, heading north and travel about 4 miles.
Make a right turn onto Mill Street . (The street sign above you will say Marietta Hwy., which is to the left. Mill St. is to the right.)
This is the entrance into the Roswell Mill.
Take this street all the way to the back as far as you can go (bear to the right) and you will be at the parking area for the hike.
The street address is 92 Mill View Ave. Roswell, GA 30075
The scenic covered bridge crosses Vickery Creek to the trails. A map of surrounding streets, ie. historical Roswell is Here. The covered bridge is point 41 on the map.
Do NOT use Google to map your way to the parking area. It will take you to an area several blocks away.
