I appreciate Tess's effort in organizing this event. I would've liked more fellowship between the participants, and I think it was horrible that the deli that Tess had set up to prepare lunch backed out. Otherwise, I completely enjoyed the ride with friends that were there with me. Perhaps if the deli had come through, we could've all met during lunch.

This meetup was definitely for a good cause- Wounded Warriors. This is near to my heart because my older son is in the Navy. The event planner was very nice. My only complaint would be that this is the second meetup riding group where I go to ( in this case a very long way from home- 4 hours round trip) and there is no one to meetup with. I know the planner can't help it if people don't show up but I don't understand the purpose of this site.

I want to attend. Will the riding be rough? My little mare hasn't been rode in 6 months.

We have 3 different trails picked out. A easy one at about 4 miles, a medium one at about 7 miles with several water crossings and some pretty good hills, and also a hard one that will be closer to 12-13 miles. I'm bring my new mare up this weekend to try out the easy one. I have ridden her twice in the pasture for 30 minutes but besides that, she hasn't been ridden in well over a year. I have no doubt she can make it a nice ride.

Minimum donation of $25 per rider required along with PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED! We have not set on a trail yet. Ill be riding up there a few times before the even to settle on them. We are hoping to have 2 trails set up, one easier and one a little harder and longer. Not only will this allow everyone to ride no matter their skill but will also help reduce traffic on any one trail.
