Good luck to all who are running - and thanks to the volunteers!! I am not going this year - since the beginning of August I moved then went on vacation for 2 weeks and have a mess at home and work so have to play catch up.......
    Have an AWESOME day!!!!

A truck takes us halfway and we do the rest on foot. It's a beautiful sunrise!

    • Chris B.

Hi Shane, I think everyone is solo. This race is tailor-made for you! See you there.

Thank you for your response, guys. I guess you need trail shoes then? I'm used to running uphill in Fullerton, but I guess mountain running is different.
I only ran in Chino Hills State Park once, but they have rolling hills there, not steep hills.

Hi guys, does anybody know about how many miles to the top? What's the average pace for this run?

Check out the course and flyover on their website above. Very tough, 7 mile, 4000' elevation gain. Last year runner #245 of 490 ran 2:00:50 (17:00 pace)

Expect a lot of hiking unless you are good at running mountains. Did a training run with a lot of hiking and some jogging and it took 2:20 minutes.

It is 7 mile course. 3 hour chip time limit 4000 feet of elevation.
