By joining this group, you agree to the following:
All organizers of this meetup and their designees are regular people and not professional trainers or guides. By signing up for an event you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own safety and assuming all risks. Activities this group is involved in can be risky. Most training runs are unsupported. No aid is provided and courses are not marked. You assume responsibility for your own navigation through the training courses; your own care and safety during the training runs; your own rescue and/or removal from the training course, including but not limited to air evacuation. You will do the necessary research to understand the conditions of the event and the gear you require.
You are responsible for bringing all gear to make an event as safe as possible for you and your fellow members. This includes correct running shoes and apparel, enough water, sunscreen/hat, snacks and attitude. Please know your own limits!
Trail running differs from regular running in many aspects. One of them is that one is surrounded by beautiful (almost) untouched nature. Normally, there are not too many two legged species (human beings) around which makes this a very peaceful experience and a nice contrast to the daily city life. On the other hand, one has always to be aware that there are other species out there who share the same nature with us - some with no legs, others with 4, 6 or even 8 legs ... .
All events are free of charge (with the exception of some races which are organized by third parties).
WEATHER: Weather is unpredictable. Check for weather conditions before you leave for an event. If you feel uncomfortable at anytime, we understand if you don't attend and change your RSVP. If we know conditions are going to be bad, we will cancel the event and send out a notification to all participants. Please check this website and your emails before an event for any changes or updates.
RSVP 'Yes' only if you definitely plan to come. If you change your mind, be sure and update your RSVP.
Signing up for an event and not showing up or dropping late might take away an opportunity from someone else.
Please be courteous to your fellow members as well as the event organizers. All events start exactly at the announced time. Please send an email to the organizer (or call if a phone number is available) if you are running late or if you can't find it.
Because organizers and their designees do not supervise or control the events or interactions among or between members and other persons or companies, and because we are not involved in any way with physical transportation to or from events or with the actions of any individuals, and because we cannot guarantee the true identity of users, and because we have very limited control, if any, over the quality, safety, morality, legality, truthfulness or accuracy of various aspects, you agree that you bear all risk and you agree to release all organizers and their designees from claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, now and in the future, arising out of or in any way connected with your participation in any event. You further waive any and all rights and benefits otherwise conferred by any statutory or non-statutory law of any jurisdiction that would purport to limit the scope of a release or waiver. You waive and relinquish all rights and benefits which you have or may have under Section 1542 of the Civil Code of the State of California or any similar provision of the statutory or non-statutory law of any other jurisdiction (including without limitation the states of Missouri, Delaware and Pennsylvania) to the full extent that you may lawfully waive all such rights and benefits.
