Join us as we head for the scenic landscape of the Ouse Valley in Sussex.
Our hike will take us first to picturesque Balcombe Lake and then across fields and forests to Wakehurst Place, a 16th century mansion that is home to the Royal Botanic Gardens, including Britain's largest growing Christmas tree.
We will pass by the Millennium Seedbank which, with over a billion seeds, is the largest collection in the world. From there we will head through a wooded valley before reaching the shoreline of the magnificent Ardingly Lake, one of the largest in the region. Beyond, we shall find the Victorian Ouse Valley Viaduct, described as probably the most elegant in the country.
We will finish our day in this beautiful landscape as we usually do with food and drink in a local pub.
