What would you prefer? Going on more group outings, adventures, and events or more single related activities like "Seven minute dating" or direct one on one dating events that forces you to intermingle with other men and women?

I have struggled to make friends since moving here; and now that I am single I suppose I see an opportunity for friendships that aren't based on "this is my boyfriend's coworker" or etc. I really want myself back and having friends is part of that. Friends I've made on my own merits and as my own person. Additionally, I feel that I have a lot to offer. I am a considerate, wise person with a kind and sharing personality. It is a challenge to exercise my better traits with so few people in my life.

To help us to help "you" (if needed) at your first few events: Would you consider yourself an outgoing social butterfly type person or shy and would need a little push to actually get up and mingle around to meet people?

I'm definitely not a social butterfly.

Tell us a few things that you enjoy doing as in what types of meetups you would be likely to attend ( such as dining out, happy hours, nightclubs/live music/dancing, karaoke, bowling, pool, family friendly events, festivals, art & cultural events etc

I have a daughter, so I would probably be at more of the family friendly events. However, I also enjoy outdoor events greatly, and I enjoy pretending I can dance and sing; thus karaoke and dancing are up my alley when I can make it. Festivals are a definite yes and art may be in my range.

Occasionally we post family friendly events, do you have any suggestions for future events of this type?

I personally think that things where kids can do their own thing while parents talk are a great concept. Parks are good for this. Picnics are good. Places like Ruggles mine, Seacoast Science Center (where you can walk on the beach and enjoy catching baby crabs) are also excellent. Things like skating at The Rinks (Exeter) would be fun, too (esp. as it's coming up winter now). America's Stonehenge... that sort of thing. That's all I've got for now, sorry!

What are some fun and/or interesting places that you have discovered in the greater Seacoast NH area? What kind of music do you like?

I can't say that I've discovered enough of Seacoast NH. I've enjoyed a few of the places listed above but not as many as I wish. Part of the pleasure of becoming single is that I am no longer foolishly waiting for someone to go with me. Music? Interesting segue, I guess. I love pure classical, enjoy easy listening, alternative, and classic rock. I don't mind reggae or most country. I dislike rap and heavy metal.

Introduction

I moved to NH 10 years ago, but I'm still adjusting. I'm recently single, so I'm not in a hurry to reconnect with someone; more looking for single friends since married friends have become a little awkward.
