Come celebrate the opening of Potato.A, Austin's first Canadian food trailer, serving up traditional poutine. Never heard of poutine, eh? Here it is: homemade french fries, velvety brown gravy and fresh cheese curds. Potato.A is serving it the old-fashioned way, as well as with a culinary twist (try subbing marinara for the gravy). All fries are made-to-order and all sauces are made from scratch. Not drooling yet? Come check it out; they promise you'll be back for part deux.
The best part? Potato.A is the creation of Trailer Friends regulars Aaron and Anne-Marie! You've met them at several meetups. They've talked about moving from Chicago, their love of cheap beer, their dog, and mostly, their plan to open up their own trailer friend hot spot. Well, the wait is over! The Glassers are opening their trailer and they want you to come share the excitement!
Come join the grand opening festivities and support two of our own members in their new venture! This event is BYOB. Parking for Barton Springs Food Court is street parking only. Toomey Street, at the end of Jessie Street, is a good place for additional parking. Otherwise, you can usually find parking along the other side streets, or pay to be in one of the garages in the area. Plenty of seating on-site.
You are encouraged to show your Canadian pride and dress up! Think red maple leaves, moose sweaters, plaid anything, or the always-in-style Canadian tuxedo.
