Svante's starts with grass-fed beef directly from the ranch to produce some outstanding stuffed burgers! They have a wide variety of tasty combinations of stuffings and toppings, including roasted garlic aioli, sautéed mushrooms and onions, bacon jam, and of course you can top it all with a fried egg.
The trailer is located in the Warehouse District downtown and they have picnic tables available for seating. Danny is opening the trailer an hour early (7 PM) specially for the Trailer Friends gang and parking downtown should be pretty easy on Wednesday evening. After dinner, we may take a stroll to grab a drink or two at one of the many nearby establishments.
Svante Magnus Swenson [masked]) was an entrepreneur who migrated to America in 1836 and became the first Swedish immigrant in Texas in 1838. In 1854, Svante gained 100,000 acres of land in west Texas by investing in the Buffalo Bayou, Brazos, and Colorado Railway. By this time he owned just as much land as anyone else in all of Texas. His ranch grew to nearly 600,000 acres. Its now closer to 60,000 acres and is about 4 hours west of Austin. All of their grass-fed beef comes directly from the ranch that is now called Swenson Land and Cattle.
