Way South Philly

Cheesy? Check. Steak-y? Check. Philly-y? Oh yeah. "Deez guys" at Way South Philly know how to cure your authentic cheesesteak craving. They can make it traditional with Cheez Wiz, or if you prefer your cheese to not be spelled with a "z" and not come from a can, they also have provolone, cheddar, and American. Yes, they do have a veggie option too, and they also have Tater Tots! Get it any way you like, but the Philly cheesesteaks at Way South Philly are the real deal and incredibly delicious!

It may be cold weather, so we will meet at Violet Crown Social Club (the dive bar on east 6th and Waller - NOT the movie theater of a similar name downtown). It is directly across the street from the cheesesteak trailer and we can bring the food over to eat inside the pub.

We are eating indoors, ya know, with heat.

It's packed inside Violet Crown. I'm at a table next to the corner booth along the wall by the front door (our usual spot for those who have been here before).

We have another booth along the east wall too. It is pleasantly busy, but not annoyingly so, and plenty of seating for Trashies!

Do not let the chilly weather get in your way of a fun evening with friends! We will be meeting at the Violet Crown (south-west corner of 6th and Waller) neighborhood-y bar tonight. It is directly across the street from the trailers. You can run over to grab some dinner, then bring it back to the bar (indoors, heated) to hang with the gang and eat!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
