Spruce Mountain in Larkspur - Easy hike with quick pace

This Douglas County open space offers great views of the Palmer Divide and Pikes Peak.

6.4 mile hike with approx. 400 ft elevation gain.

Hike will be a quick pace (2 hours) over easy terrain for an early return to enjoy other Labor Day activities.

Apres hike beer stop - TBD

8:30 am Carpool time from Castle Pines Parkway PnR (Northeast corner of exit 188 on 1-25)

9:00 am start time at trailhead

Please indicate on RSVP if you are meeting group at PnR or trailhead.

    Will you be doing this hike again in the near future? I am a beginner hiker and I am still acclimating to the CO altitude. This is a great hike for people like me. Let me know if you will consider doing it again soon. Thank you and have a great hike on Labor Day!

      Probably not, but you are right that it is a good hike to get acclimated. Dawson Butte Open Space just south of Castle Rock is another good one. 5 mile loop and fairly flat.
