Hi fellow trails and ales campers, I will be planning several backpacking camping trips in the spring and summer and wanted to hold an informal meeting to go over hammock camping gear and ideas for trips.
I absolutely love hammock camping and have done many solo and group hangs (hammock camper slang for camping trips) in TN, VA, and NC. While I'm not a supreme expert, I've done enough hangs to tweak my experience to make it enjoyable while maximizing weight efficiency and wanted to show those interested in becoming a hammock camper a few tools and tricks of the trade.
This will be held at my place in the Golden area (once I get the list, I will send out directions to my place). I'll take care of the food (probably pizza) if y'all could bring your own beer, wine, soda, etc.
I'll be going over various hammocks, suspension systems, tarps, underquilts, top quilts, cooking gear and food, and general information and silliness.
Should be informative AND fun to boot!
For those that are unable to make it and want to get the information after the meeting, just shoot me a message and I'll get something together for you :)
