Burn off the leftovers hike to Timberline Falls (RMNP)- Moderate Level

Round Trip Length: 7.8 to Timberline Falls, 8.3 to Lake of Glass
Elevation Start/End: 9,210'-10,808' (Glass Lake)
Estimated Hike Time: 4-5 hours

Let's burn off the turkey, greenbean casserole, stuffing, and the peanut butter cheesecake oreo pie with a hike up to Timberline falls. What, no PBCO pie at your Thanksgiving? If conditions allow it, we can scramble up the side of the falls to the Lake of Glass, but we'll make that call when get there. I suspect it will be too dangerous. Wow, so you really didn't have PBCO pie for dessert?

For those interested in carpooling from Denver, plan to leave the 88th and Sheridan PNR (west side of Hwy 36, north end of the lot) at 8:20 a.m. If not carpooling from Denver, meet at the Beaver Meadows visitor center at 9:45 so we can caravan into the park.

Each vehicle will need a park entrance pass. The Glacier Gorge trailhead parking is smaller and might be full so if that's the case we'll park at the Bear Lake area and walk an extra .5 mile to the GG trailhead.

Bring snacks, plenty of water, camera, extra layers, traction devices and hiking poles. Additionally, please bring cash for splitting fuel costs and park entrance fees, etc.

Be prepared for all weather conditions. If the weather goes sour, we will turn back no matter how close we are. Safety first.

The APRES hike: Dinner in Estes Park to be determined by popular majority.
