Are you absolutely sure that you want to have fun hiking, snowshoeing and/or participating in any other activities we might plan, then enjoy a cold beverage afterwards with really cool people?

Yes

You must agree to our No-show (3 "No-shows will prompt being banned from the group) and repeated cancellation policy(listed under the "Pages" tab at the top) - Do you agree to this policy?

Yes

You must agree to our rules and liability waiver in order to participate in any outings (it is NOT necessary to physically sign the liability waiver for it to be in force). These are posted on the "Rules and Liability" page. Do you agree to these?

Yes

Since we are very active, our group generates a lot of emails. If you ever want to tailor your notification settings to reduce or stop these, you can go to "My profile/ Email and Notifications" on the upper right area of the page. Sound good? :)

Introduction

I'm Jim - an engineer with 2 teenage daughters. Beyond trails and ales, I enjoy music, biking and games. From AZ with 21+ years in CO.

What "Jimmy-D" is saying about this Meetup Group

Trails and Ales saved my life. Before I joined, I weighed 203 pounds and was unemployed. I drank Keystone Light - alone under a burnt-out incandescent bulb. I had no friends. My wife was leaving me. The neighborhood kids taunted me as I drove to the mail box at the end of my driveway. The birds stopped singing when I approached. Eeyore pitied me. There were no molehills; everything seemed a mountain. Now I'm in the healthy BMI range and can hike 15+ miles a day - uphill both ways with a pack on my back. My new job enables me to fill my home with light from energy efficient LED bulbs. I enjoy craft beer - with friends in broad daylight. The neighborhood kids cheer me on as I pull them up the sledding hill. The birds add rich harmony to my own song. I don't always hike and drink, but, when I do, I prefer Trails and Ales meetup events. And that has made all the difference!
