Scott, the pups, and I checked out the June 25th summer concert at Patterson Park--lots of fun, great space, and many people bring their dogs. Do note that there are a lot of families with young children and a lot of activity, of course, so dogs need to be comfortable with this kind of setting. It will make a fun meet-up. Hope to see you July 14!
Pagoda Hill, Patterson Park, Baltimore, Sunday 7/14, 6:30-8:30 (rain date Wed. 7/17)
Concert Performer: ellen cherry
"This Baltimore-based musician needs no introduction, but we will give her one anyway! A Strathmore Artist-in-Residence and co-founder of MOBTOWNmoon, ellen cherry has recorded and released original music continuously for over 15 years. Mixing equal parts of pathos and humor throughout her songs, she is mysterious and powerful on stage and her banter will give Pagoda Hill audiences a peek into her whimsical, curious mind."
Directions to Patterson Park, 27 South Patterson Park Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21231:
The Park lies between East Baltimore Street and South Pratt Streets on the North and Eastern Avenue on the South. South Patterson Park Avenue serves as the western boundary with South Ellwood Avenue bordering the Park on the east.
From the North
Take 83 South (turns into President Street) to Pratt Street. Make a left on Pratt Street and continue for 1 mile to South Patterson Park Avenue, the Park’s eastern boundary.
Or take 95 South towards Baltimore City. Take Exit 59, Eastern Avenue and bear right off the ramp (west) towards Highlandtown. Continue on Eastern Avenue for 2.5 miles – the park will be on the right.
From the South
From 95 North, take 295 towards Baltimore. After passing the Ravens’ Stadium and Camden Yards, turn right onto Pratt Street. Follow for 2 miles until the street dead ends at the Park at South Patterson Park Avenue.
Or Follow 395 into Downtown Baltimore. Turn right onto Pratt Street. Follow Pratt for 2 miles until the street dead ends at the Park at South Patterson Park Avenue. Parking is permitted on all streets bordering the Park. Vehicle traffic is not allowed within the Park at any time without a Permit.
The concert is near the Pagoda, in the northwest corner of the park. E. Pratt Street leads right to the park and a park path that runs below Pagoda Hill, exactly where the summer concerts are held. This is on the west side of the stage. I will set up our blanket along the path at 6:15.
I plan to walk our dogs over to the dog park on 200 S. Linwood Avenue (in the eastern section of Patterson Park) before the concert, around 5:00. If you would like to join us, call me and we can meet at the Pagoda at 5:00 and walk from there. My number is [masked]. Give me a call, too, if you can't locate us at the concert.
