I grew up in San Diego and still visit family there 3 times a year. Being from San Diego, I was accustomed to an active outdoor lifestyle 365 days a year. I've tried to maintain that same outdoor lifestye in MD by walking dogs, running, camping, etc.
I'm a runner-type, running anything from a 5K to a marathon. I try to run 1 marathon a year with my most recent marathon being the 2011 Gettysburg North versus South marathon.
I am owned by Harley, a miniature schnauzer. One of the things that attracted me to this breed was I read they make great running companions. Harley is only 9 months old right now and I read that I should wait until he is 1 year old before introducing him to running so that his body is mature enough to handle the demands of running.
I've been well served at the Ellicott Mills Brewing Company and since I live in Ellicott City, that is a "home game" for me. I also like this brewery because it is right near the Grist Mill Trail so I can build up a thirst hiking and have it immediately quenched upon my return. But I'm easily pleased and will drink anywhere.
